To better enable you to understand the powder coating modification machine,Let’s take Calcium carbonate powder surface treatment as an example
Calcium carbonate powder surface treatment – commonly known as “calcium carbonate particle coating” system for the processing of fillers for PVC or other plastics production. Limestone powder or heavy calcium carbonate (GCC) fineness d97: 35 µm to 5 µm, precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) fineness d50 < 0.1 µm.
The important goal of the process is the balanced and complete distribution of the modifier in the calcium carbonate powder during the process.
The amount of modifier added (in proportion by weight) is 0.4- 1.4% for heavy calcium carbonate modified products and 5% for precipitated calcium carbonate modified products. In order to make this relatively small amount of modifier can supply a balanced amount of calcium carbonate powder, it is necessary to dissolve the modifier and then mixed with calcium carbonate powder.
Natural or synthetic waxes (e.g. stearic acid) are mainly used as modifiers.
This continuous powder surface coating modification system is designed and manufactured in China based on the digestion and absorption of German technology, which can be used for surface modification of many kinds of powders, such as calcium carbonate powder (heavy, precipitation), kaolin, talc, mica, graphite, barium sulfate, white carbon black, magnesium hydroxide, zinc oxide, alumina, etc. This system is suitable for many kinds of solid and liquid modifiers, such as aluminate coupling agent, titanate coupling agent, silane coupling agent and stearic acid.
